It showcases the lives, dreams and stories and allows them a space to communicate with thousands of people, being facilitated by Music Basti and Digital Law and Kenneth. We're using Facebook & Twitter primarily to get people involved and aware of what's going on. In almost 2 days we've got close to 2000 people as Fans!

Music Basti is a music education and awareness project that began in 2008 to work with and empower 'street children' through music. A youth led program, it networks with, motivates and sensitizes young people and the music community on issues relevant to children and their rights. Currently working with over 300 children of the "Dil Se" Campaign, Aman Biradari. Music Bastiworks through the development of an inclusive and participative music education program. The focus is on helping the children to develop self- identity, values orientation and attitudes.

The Dil Se Campaign was launched in June 2005, with the objective of developing a scalable intervention model that upholds the dignity and inclusive rights of the urban poor, specifically for children who live and work on the streets. In partnership with the Delhi Government and the community at large, this Campaign strives to create a community that is sensitive and responsive to the needs of children who live on the streets.

Please join us in creating an unforgettable experience for the wonderful children of the Ummeed Home for Boys by donating a new, unwrapped toy to the Toys for Tots drive this month at the Hard Rock Cafe Delhi in the Saket District Centre.

Thanking you in advance for your kind generosity.

With warm regards,

Hard Rock Cafe India Team

Several hundred villages in District Farrukhabad (Uttar Pradesh) lie along the banks of both the river Ganga and the Ramganga. Because of unprecedented heavy rains in District Farrukhabad as well as periodic letting out of waters from the Narora Dam and the Tehri Dam the district was faced with a flood situation not seen the area for the past 90 years.

The results were so disastrous that the National Disaster Management Force was called in to rescue in excess of 7,500 persons.  The longer term after-effect has been two-fold: severe outbreaks of disease especially malaria, typhoid and other water borne diseases of the stomach, skin and eyes; and severe destruction of sustainable food crops, clothing and shelter.

It is up to us to lend a helping hand.

This is an appeal for collection of old clothes, sweaters, blankets, shoes, sandals, etc., to be distributed among the displaced families? Any contribution, however small, would be most appreciated.
